Mackenzie Financial Corporation is currently accepting applications for the position of Manager, Portfolio Analytics.  Reporting to the AVP, Portfolio Analytics, the successful candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation and management of new analytics and reporting solutions with a focus on ESG and private assets. The successful candidates’ specific responsibilities will include:

  • Establish, maintain, and enhance working relationships with key stakeholders to support effective delivery of ESG reporting
  • Advance solution development to ensure actionable ESG data is available to investment professionals across the firm
  • Keep abreast of developments in the ESG disclosure space
  • Manage the operationalization of private asset reporting and pursue strategic solutions
  • Understand investment needs and manage the on-boarding process of new data sets
  • Identify opportunities for automation to more efficiently provide reporting to reduce manual effort and decrease operational risk
  • Recommends, coordinates, documents, and implements changes that will enhance workflows and procedures
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

The following qualifications will assist the successful candidate in carrying out these responsibilities:

  • A university degree in a business or finance-related discipline and an interest in ESG related matters
  • Strong creative thinking skills to determine unique ways to deliver on unmet customer needs
  • Ability to assess, react quickly and decisively to problems, taking tough decisions where needed or escalating issues as appropriate
  • Agile, practical, customer service-oriented mindset
  • Self-motivated, flexible, adaptable, and demonstrates initiative
  • Proven ability to learn and handle multiple priorities in a challenging work environment
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Applications (i.e. Excel, Word, Access)
  • SQL, VBA, Python or other programming languages
  • Experience with Factset and Tableau is an asset
