The data privacy team builds services, systems, and product features to help our customers manage their data in a way that meets all the data privacy compliance requirements. This is a highly complex area involving many highly researched areas, such as k-anonymity, differential privacy. At Snowflake, we are aiming to provide customers with the high performance and easy-to-use features in those areas.

• Design and implement data privacy related features, solutions and services to provide data classification, data anonymization, and differential privacy capabilities.
• Work closely with PMs to drive projects from idea formulation to design and implementation.

AS A SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER - DATA PRIVACY, YOU HAVE:

• 8+ years of industry experience designing, building, and supporting large-scale distributed systems in production, with recent experience in building large scale cloud services.
• Experience with database systems and database internals, such as query engines and optimizers are a big plus.
• Strong fundamentals in computer science skills.
• Expert-level development skills in Java or C++.
• Experience in data privacy is a big plus, but not required.
• Advanced degree in Computer Science or related degree.
• Strong background in mathematical optimization or machine learning is a plus
