Snowflake's Data Analytics Office is actively seeking a Staff Data Scientist to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to design, develop, and implement cutting-edge AI solutions that enhance our internal functions across Sales, Marketing, HR, and Legal departments. You will leverage your extensive industry experience while collaborating with cross-functional teams to create AI-driven applications that optimize our business processes.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Data & Analytics, you will be part of a team charged with building business applications and tools powered by AI, and integrating them into Snowflake's existing systems. You will be a key player in driving innovation and efficiency across various company projects
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL GET TO:
Design, develop, and implement AI infrastructure and solutions that enhance Snowflake's internal process, system and operations
Create advanced applications to improve data analysis, predictive capabilities, and automation across various company projects
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into effective AI-driven applications
Integrate AI applications and tools into Snowflake's existing systems, ensuring scalability and compliance with data privacy standards
Monitor and evaluate application and tool performance, conducting regular assessments to ensure accuracy and relevance
Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI technologies and implement emerging trends in our solutions
Optimize AI applications for performance and user engagement
ON DAY ONE WE WILL EXPECT YOU TO HAVE:
5-7 years of experience as Data Scientist supporting various business functions
Experience in building AI business application and tools that has been deployed into production that generates tangible business impact
Proficient experience with Python and other relevant programming languages
Hands-on experience with popular AI frameworks and libraries
Experience with cloud-based AI platforms and services
Solid understanding of natural language processing, computer vision, and speech recognition
Master or PHD in Data Science, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical field
Excellent communication skills to explain AI systems to project managers and business stakeholders
Ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience with generative AI frameworks and architectures
Knowledge of large language models (LLMs) and their applications
Familiarity with prompt engineering and fine-tuning techniques for generative AI models
