What you'll do...
Walmart is hiring for an exciting new opportunity to be a part of the Transportation Modeling Center of Excellence.
You will join the Modeling and Solutions Engineering team that focuses on network strategy & re-design, improving fleet utilization and E2E Delivery Modeling. This is a high impact & high visibility role that involves leveraging modeling, simulation, and advanced analytics to help leaders make data-driven decisions to reduce network costs and improve service.
What You’ll do:
Defining network strategy by providing decision support and expertise to decision-makers in Walmart Transportation. Building and maintenance of optimization models using third party or proprietary tools. Partnering with cross-functional teams to collect data, build models, analyze the output, and make recommendations to leadership based on the data.
What you’ll bring:
Modeling Expertise: 2-5 years of relevant industry experience in transportation or network optimization. Hands-on experience with modeling software such as Blue Yonder Transportation Modeler, Llamasoft Supply Chain Guru, Appian Direct Route, AIMMS, Gurobi or similar.
Analytics Experience: 1-2 years of experience managing data; cleansing, manipulation and visualization using tools such as SQL, Alteryx, Dataiku, Python, Tableau, Power BI or similar.
Storytelling & Communication: Ability to understand business challenges, translate complex data into actionable insights to drive strategic decisions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting findings to leadership.
Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team and with cross-functional departments.
Strong problem-solving skills, comfort with ambiguity, the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and adaptability to changing requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
Option 1: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Arts, Finance or related field and 2 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field.
Option 2: Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
Option 3: 4 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00-$155,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
